SUMMARY

Liam was a twenty-five year old man, who didn’t have much of a social life as he planned to retire by thirty-five so he poured his entire essence into work.

This meant outside of work colleagues and a few friends, his life was uneventful.

This was why meeting Sara when he did felt like a blessing as his romantic life had been nonexistent and finding a woman to marry to have kids seemed like the next logical step.

But it was about to get worse, Sara had posted something that showed him in a very compromising situation, this was being drunk and acting silly.

This shouldn’t be a problem on a normal day but for a senior associate in one of the biggest law firms, public image was everything.

Liam was sacked but Sara consoled him at that moment but it was only a matter of time before she began to withdraw.

She became less available when she found out he didn’t have as much money to spend unemployed so began to spend less time.

Liam spoke to his client about it only to discover down the line the same client made a successful move on her AFTER he had confided in him.

Liam couldn’t believe his eyes and crashed the fuck out only to be beaten to a pulp by that client as Sara laughed at him.

He stared at the sky and had one final thought as a shooting star fell.
